Pinkie's Pie Party!

On 6 August 2010, I made a purchase from ebay seller in Hong Kong. I bought the NIB Pinkie Pie's Party from the year 2008. Actually, the same item sold by a seller from Malaysia for the same price but he wanted to charge me with the international shipping fee which is so absurd! So, I bought this item from Hong Kong instead. I thought, this item won't reach my door but finally I received it today in a very good condition!

A Jolly Good Time With Damia

Last night, my daughter and I were so excited to open the the new Bloomin' Blossoms Shop playset that I just received on Friday. We had so much fun together playing with the playset. I even took some photos of the box. The rest of our MLP collections already been sealed in boxes since we are moving out to a new home soon. I hope once we move in I will take more photos and publish it here.

My Little Pony Fair and Convention 2010

It's been a month since I last posted something in this blog. In my previous entry, I did mentioned about the annual My Little Pony Fair and Convention where all collectors from around the world gather to share their interests. Well, this year MLP Fair and Convention was held last weekend i.e. on the 17th & 18th of July 2010 in Louisville, Kentucky. I really couldn't get a picture of what was happening at the convention but I am sure there were a lot of activities for everyone to enjoy. Every year during the MLP Fair they will come out with an exclusive pony and this year it is a green pony. This exclusive pony only available for purchase at the 2010 MLP Fair only.

Welcome to the World of My Little Pony

Do you guys remember the cartoon from the 80s – My Little Pony? I could still remember those days watching My Little Pony which is aired on tv on every weekend. Oh, how I enjoyed the moment lying in front of tv on a morning of no school day. Well, those days are long gone but for many years I could still remember the tune of the theme song.

Years gone by and now I am in my 30s and I am a mother of 2 lovely children. And this is how it all started – it was 2007 and it was my daughter's 2nd birthday. She got a RM50 Toys R Us cash voucher from my sister as a birthday gift. So , me, hubby and daughter made our way to Toys R Us in Midvalley KL to find a toy for her. Since our daughter never got onto a train before, we purposely took the train from Kajang KTM and alighted at Midvalley Station. We searched high and low for a suitable toy for her age but couldn’t find anything that was priced below RM50.

It was my husband who saw it first at the stock clearance area. It was the Twinkle Twirl Dancing Studio Playset selling at RM40. It was really cheap and worth a buy although the playset is recommended for a 3 year old and above.

Almost 3 years has passed by, and the playset is still in good condition except for a few missing accessories. I myself couldn’t believe that my daughter could play and keep it for such a long period of time ( throughout the years we bought other toys like Barbie and it all went missing – FYI, she used to have about 7 barbie dolls!).

We often play the playset together and recently I realized that I loved these ponies as much as my daughter does. So that is how the pony quest started. I thought that I was being childish but one day I googled for My Little Pony and it is a relief to know that I am not alone. There are so many people out there who love My Little Pony so much that it has become collectible items. They even held a My Little Pony collectors convention every year in the US where all collectors from all around the world gather to share their interest.

Well, talking about collection ours is just a small one. But I guess it will grow sooner. I will continue on my next entry about our collections.
